Dr Amy Law has been trained by industry leaders in the field of non- surgical rhinoplasty (non-surgical nose job). Her eye for detail and gentle technique enables her to inject hyaluronic acid gel along the nose to create a more straighter, softer and more lifted nose profile. The results that she achieves are safe, reliable and outstanding.
A non-surgical approach to rhinoplasty has many benefits compared to surgery.
Firstly its completely reversible which means if you ever change your mind on the treatment you can dissolve the filler and your nose will return to its natural shape.
It is a much safer alternative to surgery and has minimal downtime. You can get back to work the same day will do not need to take time off work after this treatment; unlike invasive surgery.
Discomfort is minimal and the procedure can take less than an hour to complete.
Our nose is one of our most prominent and noticeable facial features and because of this, it can pose as one of our biggest insecurities from very early on.
Having a nose which is misshapen can affect our confidence throughout life. There used to be a time where the only treatment to correct a nose profile was surgery. This surgery whilst being expensive also poses many risks and is irreversible.
Now with the technology developed in dermal fillers we can correct a nose profile in a much safer manner and give results just as good as surgery with no downtime. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is also fully reversible giving you peace of mind that if you ever decide it’s not for you, you can go back to your original nose shape.
Our patients will travel from all over the country to be treated by Dr Amy for this procedure.
Dr Amy says…
“This is my one of my favourite treatments to perform. They really are life changing results and I take great pride in ensuring I get the best, most natural result for you.”
The majority of patients who visit us for this treatment have been unhappy with the appearance of their nose for years. It could be a they have a dorsal hump, lack of definition , a droopy tip or a deviation.
The options are either surgery which has a significant downtime and completely irreversible or a non-surgical approach with temporary, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. By erasing any bumps along the nose we can make it straighter. One of the huge benefits is that the nose automatically looks smaller on the face.
If you are considering non-surgical rhinoplasty, we will ask that you firstly attend an initial consultation with Dr Amy, so that she can assess your facial features, suitability for treatment and your medical history. After this meeting and all being satisfactory, you can make an appointment for your treatment.
You will see your results immediately, but you will need to consider any swelling or bruising which may occur, following your dermal filler nose job. Within one to two weeks, the optimum results should be achieved.
Results generally last between 12 and 18 months, depending on your individual metabolism of hyaluronic acid, your lifestyle and the treatment which took place.
On average 1 treatment is required however depending on the severity of any bumps/ deviations a top up may be required 4-6 weeks later, for absolute perfection.
• Dorsal hump ( bump at top of the nose)
• Elevating the tip of nose
• Improving on deviations
• Improving contour to the nose
• Straightening the nose
This is an extremely rewarding procedure but is one of the riskiest areas to treat on the face due to the complexity of the blood supply. It is so important you are treated by a medical professional who has a lot of experience with treating noses non surgically to minimise any risks.
As in many cases a topical anaesthetic is used, in general, a non-surgical nose job using dermal fillers should not be painful. You may feel some pulling or tugging of the skin if a cannula is used, but this should not hurt.
We advise if possible to wear contact lenses after treatment for 2 weeks. However if glasses must be worn please make sure the rim isn’t touching the bridge of your nose as this might compress the filler and cause it to get displaced.
Generally those with very large bumps on the nose are more likely to require a top up after 4-6 weeks but we advise patients to contact Dr Amy if they feel they would like the treatment refined.
Often there is only a very mild amount of swelling which isn’t noticeable. If you have a very large bump on the nose then area may require more filler and therefore may swell slightly more.
When the dermal filler is placed correctly it shouldn’t make your nose look wider. The exception to this is when your nose is deviated and we need to add filler to the nose to make it appear straighter. Your expectations will always be thoroughly discussed before any treatment is commenced to ensure you will be happy with the result.
There is no clinical downtime after this treatment and you can return straight back to work. However, we always advise people to be mindful as they may get some minor bruising and swelling.
